Callers are correcting the number Jodie reads back to them.
Cause
Jodie uses caller ID to speed up calls. She reads the number back for confirmation instead of asking callers to dictate it. If caller ID is wrong, Jodie reads back the wrong number.
Caller ID can be wrong due to:
Call forwarding sends the forwarding number, not the original
Withheld numbers show as unknown
VoIP / business phone systems sometimes pass incorrect data
International calls can have formatting issues
Fix
Enable Always ask for full phone number. Jodie will ignore caller ID and ask for the number directly.
Go to Smart Questions then Advanced Settings
Enable Always ask for full phone number
Save
Full guide: Always Ask for Full Phone Number
Trade-off
Collecting the full number takes slightly longer than confirming caller ID. Worth it if caller ID is unreliable.
